I was pretty sad today that the #LabelGMOs didn’t pass even though it was very close 48% to 52% and the #Noon37 flat out lied in many cases. I saw this and realized we have a food movement and we won’t be stopped. We deserve to know what is in our food.

Just realizing today that almost everything I ever said. “I’ll never do that” or I hate that” I am doing today.

I took a college public speaking class in high school and I said ” I hate this, I’ll never be a public speaker” now I speak all the time and love it.

“I will never be a farmer or marry a farmer”, said when I was 18 and couldn’t wait to leave the farm and small town I lived in. Today I am very close to becoming an Urban Farmer.

“I hate marketing, how do you know what works”, said in frustration when running my first business. Now I help businesses understand how to build their brand and grow a community.

“I hate politics and will never be in politics” said all my life but now as I am getting involved in the local food movement, I am beginning to understand that I am passionate about it and I have a strong voice that people listen to.
